Chipping Campden in the heart of Cotswold is a perfect place to find a variety of scenic walking trails. Whether you prefer having a leisurely stroll or a longer hike there are going to be several routes that you find appealing. Here are some of the best trails for you to explore.

The Cotswold Way to Broadway Tower

This has always been one of the UK’s most famous walking roads and it starts in Chipping Campden. A popular section of the trail will take you to Broadway Tower which is an iconic 18th century structure that you should visit.

It has stunning views of the surrounding countryside. If you love nature then this is definitely something that you should not miss. This walk offers a mix of open fields as well as woodlands and a gentle incline up to the tower. The panoramic views will take your breath away.

Dovers Hill Circular Walk

For those seeking a shorter walk, this circular route to Dover’s Hill is ideal for you. Starting from Chipping Campden’s market hill, this trail is going to lead you through the country paths to the summit of Dover’s hills.

This area is a National Trust site and is known for its long history. It has hosted the annual Cotswold Olympics since the early 1600s. That means it has quite a bit of history.

The wide open meadows from the hill make this walk a relaxing option if you are staying in the village.

Hidcote Circular Walk

If you prefer a longer walk through the picturesque countryside, the Hidcote circular walks offer a lovely escape for you. The trails are going to take you through some rolling hills, quiet fields and small hamlets making it a peaceful journey for you. The walk meanders near Hidcote manor gardens which is a famous destination in Cotswold.

The garden itself is not part of the walk but the nearby countryside offers a similarly serene experience for anybody who loves nature. You will have the opportunity to enjoy the natural landscape and also spot seasonal wildflowers that would make my adventure well worth it.

Chipping Campden Town Walk

If you are ready to have a more relaxed option then a stroll around the town itself is a delightful way for you to explore the local charm.

The village’s honey colored stone buildings, historical landmarks and narrow streets are what make it an enjoyable and easy walk for just about anyone. It also has beautiful architecture that dominates the local skyline.

If you prefer a longer, more varied walk then the road from Chipping Campden to the nearby village of Mickleton is going to be a very pleasant experience for you. If you take this trail it’s going to lead you to some quiet lanes, gentle hills and rural farmland.
