Three Ways House Hotel Green Policy

The team at Three Ways House is committed to doing as much as possible to help protect the environment and reduce pollution, these efforts have been rewarded with a Gold Award under the Green Tourism Business Scheme.

The hotel's Green Team is managed by Assistant Manager - Renata Montrimiene and each department has a Green Team member dedicated to working on Green issues, there is continuous checking, improving & implementing of environmental polices to ensure that the hotel is as “green” as possible.

These are some of the success and they continue to be worked on.

  • Using Local suppliers and seasonal produce throughout the Hotel
  • Promoting Local businesses & providing details of Local walks, trails and tracks
  • Installation of efficient loft insulation
  • Replacement of central heating boilers throughout the hotel
  • Green Travel Information 
  • Staff are encouraged to walk & car share when coming to work
  • Recycling as much as possible – paper, cardboard, plastics, glass, metal, bulbs & batteries
  • Reducing paper usage via emails & recycling of printer cartridges
  • Changing to Energy Saving Bulbs where possible
  • Installation of Water Butts & Drip irrigation system
  • Composting for use in the Garden
  • Encouraging wildlife within the grounds with use of Bird boxes, Birdbaths & improving the Pond environment
  • Energy use is monitored & managed where possible.
  • Water use is reduced by using flow restrictors on taps
  • Supporting local Charities and organizations
